It is with deep sadness that we inform of the passing of Israel Burch. Israel began his fire service career as a firefighter at Cobb Island VFD & EMS and was an active member and officer (past Captain) of the company for many years until transferring to La Plata VFD where he obtained his life membership. Israel kept his passion for the fire service into his career and worked his way to become the Fire Chief at NIH.

He passed on July 19, 2022 after a tough battle with cancer. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. Please keep his family and all who were touched by Israel in your thoughts and prayers.
