Members of the Cobb Island Volunteer Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services and Auxiliary traveled to Hollywood, Maryland to participate in the Southern Maryland Volunteer Firemen's Association Parade. This was the 60th annual parade and was hosted by Hollywood Volunteer Fire Department this year.
Sunday brought us beautiful weather to participate in a parade. And we were not alone- - there were well over 150 pieces of apparatus in the parade! Fire Departments, Rescue Squads, Honor Guards, Marching Units, Commercial Vehicles, and more all came out to spread great camaraderie.
Cobb Island VFD & EMS members participated in the parade, firemen's games - Bucket Brigade and Battle of the Buckets, and the EMS Competition.
The department brought home three trophies - -
Best Appearing Ambulance
Second Best Appearing Brush Truck
Best Appearing Miss Fire Prevention Queen (Miss Katie Godwin)
Special thanks to Johnny Osakowicz and Joey Lawman for the use of their Mustang convertibles for our Miss Fire Prevention Queen and Little Miss Fire Prevention.
