On Thursday, members of the Cobb Island Volunteer Fire Department and EMS took part in a comprehensive water safety drill at the Swan Point Pool. Training opportunities like this are vital in helping our members stay prepared for a wide range of water-related emergencies, from poolside incidents to rescues on the river.

The drill allowed our firefighters and EMS providers to practice rescue techniques, patient care in aquatic environments, and teamwork skills in a controlled setting. By simulating real-life scenarios, our members strengthen the knowledge and confidence they will need when responding to emergencies in the community.

We are deeply grateful to Swan Point for generously opening their facility to us. Their support makes it possible for our volunteers to train effectively and continue providing the highest level of service to the residents and visitors of Cobb Island and the surrounding area.

As a volunteer organization, we rely on both community support and ongoing training to ensure we are ready when called upon. Opportunities like this reinforce the strong partnership between our department and the community we serve.
