π¨ Extreme Heat Warnings are in effect: β’ Today (Mon, June 23) until 9 PM β’ Tomorrow (Tues, June 24) from 11 AM to 9 PM Heat index values could reach up to 110Β°F. Thatβs hot enough to be life-threatening, especially for kids, seniors, outdoor workers, and pets.
π¨βπ From Your Volunteers at CIVFD: Hot weather increases the risk for heat-related illnesses. Be alert for signs that someone may be in trouble, such as: β’ Excessive sweating β’ Dizziness or weakness β’ Skin that feels very hot or very dry β’ Confusion or trouble walking

Heat Safety Tips: β’ Stay hydrated with plenty of water β’ Use air conditioning if available β’ Avoid outdoor activity during peak sun (11 AM to 4 PM) β’ Check on neighbors, especially the elderly β’ Wear light, breathable clothing β’ Never leave kids or pets in vehicles
