On Thursday evening, CIVFD members participated in a hands-on training session focused on sprinkler systems at the Swan Point Clubhouse. Crews took time to walk through the facility, reviewing how the different systems function, how to access and utilize the Fire Department Connection (FDC), and what to watch for when responding to fire alarms in this type of structure.

We also identified key hazards and access points that could impact operations—valuable insight for both new recruits and seasoned members.

Midway through the drill, an EMS call came in, and our crew didn’t hesitate. A unit split off to handle the call while the rest continued training, showing the dedication and adaptability of our volunteers in real time.

Special thanks to the Swan Point Clubhouse for welcoming us and supporting our ongoing training efforts.
