The Cobb Island VFD and EMS participated today at the Southern Maryland Volunteer Fireman's Association Convention Touch A Truck and Games Event. Fire and EMS companies from all 3 Southern Maryland Counties (Charles County, Calvert County, and St. Mary's County) were in attendance.

CIVFD members worked hard and showed true dedication and represented us today proudly.

The department was awarded 8 awards:

- 2nd Best Appearing Fire Prevention Entry
- Best Appearing Fire Ambassador - CIVFD Miss Fire Prevention Queen Ryleigh Goldsmith
- 2nd Best Appearing Brush Truck
- Best Appearing Ambulance
- 1st Place Tug of War
- Best Appearing Engine 1250 GPM or Less
- Best Appearing Rescue Boat
- Best Appearing Company Overall

Job well done to all of our members today!!!
