The 65th Annual Southern Maryland Volunteer Firemen's Association Convention will be held April 28, 2012 through April 29, 2012. This year's event is being hosted by the Cobb Island Volunteer Fire Department and EMS, Newburg Rescue Squad and Fire Department and the Charles County Mobile Intensive Care Unit.
The weekend events of the Memorial Service and the Parade will be held at the Cobb Island Volunteer Fire Department. The Convention Meeting, Dinner and the Installation of Officers will be held at the Newburg Volunteer Rescue Squad and Fire Department. Enclosed you will find:
• The itinerary for the weekend.
• R.S.V.P form for the Memorial Service, Meeting and Dinner.
• Parade Packet: Route, Rules and Registration
• Competition Packet: Contests with rules and regulations
Sunday should be a fun-filled day for the entire family. Please promote this event throughout your entire community. In addition to the Parade and Firefighter Contests, there will be food, entertainment, and a carnival for the children to enjoy.
An R.S.V.P form is enclosed for those who wish to attend the Memorial Service and Dinner. In addition, registrations forms for the Parade and Contests are enclosed. Please feel free to use the enclosed envelope to return all registrations and the R.S.V.P form by April 10, 2012.
