It is with great sadness that the Cobb Island Volunteer Fire Department and EMS, Inc. announce the passing of Past Chief, Jack W. Saunders. Jack passed away at home on Monday, July 17, 2017.

Jack was a life member of the Cobb Island Volunteer Fire Department and EMS, Inc. He was a Past Chief, holding office in the years 2000-2001 and 2001-2002. Since joining the department in 1968, Jack received certifications as Firefighter, Emergency Medical Technician, Fire Officer, Rescue Technician, Incident Commander, Incident Safety Officer, Emergency Vehicle Operation, among countless others. Jack gave many hours of volunteer service to the community.

John Wilbur "Jack" Saunders, 61, of Cobb Island, Maryland, died suddenly on July 17, 2017.

Services for Jack will be held on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at the Cobb Island Volunteer Fire Department and EMS located at 17069 Cobb Island Road, Cobb Island, MD 20625 beginning at 1 PM.
