Collapse Response for Tree into Residence

A windy night and cold weather night brought a tree crashing into a Cobb Island home in the 17300 block of Vickers Dr. Cobb Island units and other collapse resources were alerted for a collapse rescue with injuries. Rescue Engine 62, Engine 61, Ambulance 68, Ambulance 69, Brush 6 responded with 12 personnel and arrived with Chief 6 (Higgs) to find a large tree that had collapsed into the rear bedrooms of the residence. The residence was determined to be uninhabitable and one patient was transported with minor BLS injuries by Ambulance 69. Units stayed on scene for an additional hour assisting occupants with personal belongings.
